Alocasia Gageana

Big leaves. Big drama. Big vibes.
The Alocasia gageana — often called 'Dwarf Elephant Ear' — is anything but shy. Native to the Kachin Hills of Northern Myanmar, this jungle stunner grows tall, proud stems that hold bold, upward-pointing leaves that can span over 60cm wide. A true statement plant that brings instant presence to your space.

Light
This Alocasia loves bright, indirect light — think near a bright window with sheer curtains or filtered through trees. It can tolerate a few hours of direct sun, but avoid all-day scorchers. Rule of thumb? If it can see the sky, it’s probably happy.

Water
Keep the soil lightly moist, not soggy. Water when the top inch feels dry — but make it a ritual: aerate the soil first (a few pokes with a stick or skewer), then water slowly so it drains right through. Let those roots breathe!
